The mission of SAVE DOWNTOWN NORTHBROOK, NFP, a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization, is to bring together the energy, passion, talents, creativity, expertise and experience of Northbrook residents from all walks of life, all ages, and all geographic locations of Northbrook to successfully protect the historic and cultural character of Northbrook, particularly its downtown, which is the heart and soul of the community.

We stand for a downtown Northbrook that:

• is a destination rather than a drive-through

• is a generator of economic growth and new investment for Northbrook

• has measured and appropriate housing

• supports its current tenants

• helps protect and support residents and businesses

• incorporates carefully measured traffic impact and improvements

• respects Village Church property and supports their need for parking

While we support and respect the cultural and historic significance of our downtown community, we also recognize that modernization, upgrade and improvement are necessary for a vibrant Northbrook, going forward.
